German ancestors from Posen


Do you have German ancestors from the former Prussian province of Posen? The Poznan Project has an excellent database of marriages in the former province (now Poznan in Poland). 
It is easy to use, and has been a great help to me.

Norwegian Research Part 17 In FamilySearch under 'Norway Marriages, 1660-1926', I haven't found a marriage for an Ole Andersen Bakke, but did find one under 'Ole Andersen'. Researching Jens Peter Christensen of Denmark

Michelle has been posting all of this information on Danish research on our Genealogy Sunshine Coast Facebook page.. but we thought we would add it to our blog as well. Danish ancestors post 4:  The Danish Emigration Archives tells us Jens Peter Christensen was born abt 1852, possibly in Nyker parish on the island of Bornholm.   The Queensland historical death indexes tell us that Jens Peter’s parents were  Christian Christiansen and Maren Margrethe.
