Researching Jens Peter Christensen of Denmark

Michelle has been posting all of this information on Danish research on our Genealogy Sunshine Coast Facebook page.. but we thought we would add it to our blog as well.
Danish ancestors post 4:
The Danish Emigration Archives tells us Jens Peter Christensen was born abt 1852, possibly in Nyker parish on the island of Bornholm.
The Queensland historical death indexes tell us that Jens Peter’s parents were
 Christian Christiansen and Maren Margrethe.
From here, I could go straight to searching the Nyker parish register, but to make it easier, I’ll check www.familysearch.org to see if his baptism is there – and lucky I did, because he was actually baptised in Aakirkeby parish on Bornholm:

Denmark, Baptisms, 1618-1923
Name: Jens Peter Christiansen
Gender: Male
Baptism/Christening Date: 11 Jul 1852
Baptism/Christening Place: , AAKIRKEBY, BORNHOLM, DENMARK
Father's Name: Christian Christiansen
Mother's Name: Maren Margrethe
Indexing Project (Batch) Number: C20515-5
System Origin: Denmark-ODM
Source Film Number: 44041

I can’t be positive this is the same man, even though it seems highly likely, so I will check the Nyker parish register myself to see if there is another person with the same name, born around the same time with the same parents, just to be sure.
Hopefully a search of the 1870 census, a few years before he left Denmark, will show him living in Nyker parish.
To be continued.
